FCA is excited to share information on a new initiative to provide Florida teens with digital Prescription Drug Safety course aimed to promote prescription drug safety and inform students on the risks of abuse and misuse.
The course is available to you and your communities through a recent partnership with FCA and the Prescription Drug Safety Network, which convenes industry leaders, state officials, and community health organizations in an effort to positively impact communities through the power of prevention education. We are proud to be a founding member of the Network.
The course covers topics like the science of addiction, safe use, storage and disposal of prescription medications, refusal skills, and bystander intervention strategies through a dynamic digital experience that tracks student knowledge gains, behaviors, and perceptions when it comes to prescription drug safety.
Florida Coalition Alliance wishes to empower you with the tools to bring this resource to the high schools in your community. We encourage you to share course materials with educators in your network to help them get started in their classrooms.
